The Start of my Trip
I woke up pretty refreshed, after a great night of sleep. At 9 my mom and I went to the airport, and got on a plane to Yulin, China. We arrived at my aunt’s (my mom’s oldest sister) house around noon. I saw my two oldest cousins, caught up a bit with them, and took some photos. Then, we had to leave to my grandma’s house, which is about 80 miles away. It’s a shame that I didn’t get to see my cousin’s son, who’s now 11. He was only about 5 when I last saw him.
So far, so good. This is where the day starts going sour. Very, very sour.
The driver we had was still a newbie, I think. He was very scared, too scared to pass up extremely slow vehicles. And I am not exaggerating one bit. At least 50% of the vehicles on the road were trucks hauling oversized loads, going at maximum 20 miles per hour.
